play area

Linden is loving his new play area - with toys on low shelves that he can take on and off - and his favorite books to read.

At the pool . . .

We spent the afternoon at Jack's grandparent's pool again today - only this time Daddy got utilize his summer hours and hang with us. THe water was very very cold with all the rain we've had but the boys still had a great time in the pool. All the better for snuggling afterward.

reflecting

Linden is loving his reflection in the slidding glass door these days. Yet another reason to pull himself up to standing!

Membership has its privledges

We are now members of the Philadelphia Zoo - The oldest zoo in the US. Its not Linden's first trip to the zoo (its actually his 3rd - we live really close) but it was his first trip where he had any idea that the things he was looking at were interesting. Here Linden and Daddy watch a rhino taking a bath and Mommy and Linden wait for the otter to swim by under water.

our little inch worm

Linden has been having a great time with the old crib mattress that is still hanging around our apartment. Its a great crawling jungle gym. He is still perfecting his "inch worm" crawl before moving on to bigger and better forms of locomotion. This morning a I looked over to find him standing up holding on to the couch!

Bye bye Sam and Izzy

We went for a walk with Alisson and Oliver (on left) and Sam and Isabel who are sadly moving to Pittsfield MA. Sad for us - but great for them. We are so often in that area I'm sure we'll get to see them!

V. A. C. A. T. I. O. N.

We just returned from a week's fun and relaxation in Damscus Virginia. This is the house we rented that was right on the Virginia Creeper Trail (a rails to trails bike path) and the Apalacain trail as well next to a beautiful lake and the municipal pool. Plenty to do and lots of family bonding time. Below are (from left to right in rear) Niki, Pop, Linden, Blakelynn, and Justin (front row) Bubba, Jess, Isaac, Ginny, Perry, ( and let us not forget) Pada, standing in front.

Pop and all the grandkids (Isaac, Blakelynn, Nikki, Linden and Pada) on the bed.

Isaac teaches Linden how to wrestle.

Uncle John the architect oversees the construction.

Playin' with Bubba and Pop.

Linden just loved playing with his cousin Pada. Watching Pada chase things I think was pony's favorite part of this trip.

We celebrated Stephanie's (on right) Birthday with a picnic in Narberth Park with the boys.
