Dedan likes bunny crackers too
Linden and his buddy Dedan have gotten even closer in the past week or so. Now Dedan likes to do many of the same things Nuggy does - like eat bunny crackers for snack, or feel the fuzzy images in his touchy feely books, sign all done, and sometimes even wear cowboy boots. Now when I get him from his nap instead of just saying up he says "De De up" - meaning "Mama, pick up Dedan too."

Ahhhh sweet sunshine
What a great day. 65 degrees and sunny - a bit windy but who can complain - its still early January! Picnic at the park at lunch with Daddy, mowing the sunshine in the apartment - welcome new visitor in the winter months to play with, and hanging out at the park in the late afternoon with Antonia.
Linden found a hole left over from some older kids' attempts to dig under the playground fence. It was full of leaves. He buried himself in the leaves and hung out there for 20 minutes or so. Here is a little clip.

Happy Texas New Year!
A family portrait and singing songs around the piano with Mama Su. From left to right above (John / Daddy, Linden, Rebecca / Mama, Cousin Isaac, Aunt Jess, Uncle Justin, Ollie, Mama Su, and Opa)
Linden's New hat. We'll make a cowboy out of him yet.
Every thing is big in Texas. The glasses, the bath tubs, driveways of sunshine for playing jacks - everything.
The dogs though - the dogs are small and cute and extremely fun to play with.
Even cowboys have to eat. Cousin Isaac takes a snack break.
